During this time of the Covid-19 Pandemic, screening will begin with your pre-operative phone call.

- You may bring only 1 (one) responsible adult with you to the surgery center
- You and the responsible adult must both wear a mask while at HOSC. Masks and hand sanitizer are available if you should need them.
- You will be instructed to stop at the front door in order to be screened for Covid-19 prior to entering the surgery center
On arrival:
- When you arrive we will greet you at the front door, take your temperature and your responsible adult’s temperature, and ask a series of screening questions
- If you arrive earlier than your scheduled time, please call 478-971-2252 to notify us of your arrival
- Anyone who has a temperature of 100.4 or greater will not be allowed to enter HOSC. If you are the patient, your surgery will be postponed and rescheduled at a later date.
- One family member will be allowed entrance to HOSC. They may wait in their vehicle, one of the empty patient cubicles or waiting room. Social distancing, masks, and hand sanitation are required.
After discharge:
- You will receive a postoperative phone call
- Please notify us if within 14 days of discharge if you show any signs and symptoms of Covid-19, test positive or are diagnosed with Covid-19 so tracking may begin.
